Description

The flaming sword bromeliad is a flowering plant that belongs the vriesea genus and Bromeliaceae family. Like other bromeliads, this species has a rosette of leaves and a cup or vase in the center which has to be filled with water regularly.

Bromeliad Zebrina or Aechmea Zebrina is a beautiful epiphytic evergreen plants that are endeared for their long spear-like leaves banded with dark green and grey striations and their relative ease of maintenance.

Bromeliads need medium to bright indirect sunlight. Do not subject them to extreme direct sunlight or the plant will obtain burnt.

Bromeliad Zebrina Plant is a spectacular species even without variegation. Large growing with stout stolons and beautifully silver banded foliage, it graces the forest of the Andean foothills of Ecuador and Peru on the Amazonian side. The inflorescence is spectacular as well, a large head of orange and yellow branches and bright orange scape bracts.
